What Is Natural Healing?

The Problem with the world is that the stupid are cock-sure and the intelligent are full of doubt." --Bertrand Russell

So-called "Medical" cures are actually illusions that may give the false appearance of health but are actually cover-ups, band-aids, crutches and make-up. Neither the patient nor their doctor are correcting the real cause of their disease. --Dr. Richard Schulze

Even though very powerful chemical drugs that relieve symptoms and chemically alter the metabolism appears to be a cure, the underlying cause of illness is not addressed. Patients are not asked to change the faults in their lifestyle that created their condition. Since the cause of the disease is not dealt with or eliminated, the condition continues to grow and flourish within them, often unnoticed at first, underneath the medically induced illusion of health.

But eventually it again resurfaces with a vengeance. Drugs chemically alter cells, tissues, organs, and the normal function of your body, making it appear to function normally, when it is actually still very sick. Often drugs are used to allow you to continue your harmful lifestyle and make yourself sicker. While this deception is going on you appear to be healthy while all the time your condition worsens, grows, and eventually kills you.

People are looking to get something for nothing, not knowing that the highest price we ever pay for anything is to have it given to us.

The Doctor Within

Our bodies are composed of around one hundred trillion cells. We make a billion cells every hour--24 billion cells every day. This goes on 24-7-365. The body makes a new liver every six weeks, a new stomach lining every five days, new skin every 30 days, a new skeleton every 3 months, new red blood cells every 120 days. We take in new atoms with every breath, every mouthful we eat or drink, everything we absorb through our skin.

We breathe around 20,000 times every day, with each breath we take in 1024 (that's ten with 24 zeros) of new atoms with each breath. And we breathe out the same number of atoms with each breath. Our bodies are continually changing and replacing the material that composes them. You don't have the same body that you had when you first logged on to this website! Each cell has a blueprint for the whole organism; the form and function that each new cell will have. This is determined by a field of spirit or intelligence that is working backstage behind the physical cells. This is called innate intelligence. Innate intelligence is the real "doctor." Only our bodies can heal, and they are doing it continually. No human can do what the body does on an ongoing basis. This is "natural healing."

The only way we can influence this process on the physical level is to provide the body with the essential substances that it needs on an ongoing basis (nutrition) to support metabolism, and to remove obstacles that interfere with this natural healing/maintenance operation (detoxification). The rest is done by the "doctor within." We can influence our physical bodies through our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and attitudes. This influences the "field" of spirit that determines the physiology (function) and morphology (form) of the atoms, molecules, and cells that make up our tissues, organs and systems composing our human bodies. Then our bodies can take over and do everything else that is needed.

Beliefs

The most powerful aspect of our being is our belief systems (BS). Belief systems are preprogrammed ideas, upon which our life is based. They are so conditioned, so subtle and so automatic that they can completely run our life without the least thought on our part. Any condition in our life or any feeling in our hearts that occurs over and over is rooted in a belief. Our outer life is mirroring our inner beliefs. Beliefs are on automatic pilot. The only thing that stands between us and a fully functional life and radiant health is our BS. Our beliefs predetermine our future outcomes. Freedom and health comes when we realize that we have no chronic problems, only chronic beliefs; why the same problems plague our life year after year. Our beliefs write the script of our life, but beliefs can be changed. We can move mountains by changing our thinking, but by the same token, the tiniest of molehills can keep us imprisoned for years.

Every person has been hypnotized to some degree either by ideas accepted from others (television, newspapers, teachers, doctors, the government, etc.) or ideas one has convinced one's self are true. These ideas have exactly the same effect upon behavior as those implanted into the mind by a professional hypnotist. No one can be involuntarily hypnotized as each person collaborates in the hypnotizing process. Most humans are in a kind of hypnotic sleep of which they are unaware and limit themselves through "mistaken certainties." Mistaken certainties are things you're sure are true but which, in fact, are not.

Many of us think that we can change our lives by sheer willpower, but negative ideas in the imagination cause us to defeat ourselves. We've accepted a false belief as fact. A filter of misconceptions prohibits truth's passage and we see only what we want, and reject all else. To protect our beliefs, we build a wall around our world, and instinctively seek to collect facts to support the belief no matter how false it might be. We avoid, resist and, forcibly reject any idea which threatens our beliefs. If we accept something which is not true, all subsequent actions and reactions will be based upon a false belief. One false belief leads to another until we can't function rationally.

Millions of people have blindly followed the rhetoric of so-called "experts" without making sure that the principles they expound, stand up to the realities of life. It is our goal to present new information on this website that, if understood and accepted, can change lives. "Know the truth and the truth shall set you free." If you are sincere about changing your life for the better, you must have an open mind. You must understand what is being said without the necessity of believing it. If you allow yourself to have new options available to you, you can then make an informed choice as to what you want to believe and what you want in your life.

Your first job is to awaken from the hypnotic condition that is keeping you from being the person you want to be. In order to construct a new life of optimum health and freedom where one that is inefficient exists, you first have to tear down the old one. This is done by shattering those "mistaken certainties" which have held you back from expressing the unlimited, abundant, wholesome life you desire.

70% of Older Adults Use Alternative Medicine

Nearly three out of every four adults over age 50 use some kind of alternative medicine, such as acupuncture and herbal medicine, according to a new study. While previous research has been limited, this appears to be a higher rate than occurs within the general population, said Gong-Soog Hong, co-author of the study and professor of consumer sciences at Ohio State University .

_

This study found that 71 percent of older adults used some form of alternative medicine in 2000. A study done in 2002, found a lower rate—about 62 percent—among all adults. “The percentage of older adults who used alternative medicine was higher than I expected,” Hong said. “Many types of alternative medicine have not been tested for safety and effectiveness, and yet a large majority of older adults are using them. This tells us there is a serious need for more consumer education.”

_

Hong conducted the study with Catherine Montalto, associate professor, and Vibha Bhargava, a graduate student, both in consumer sciences at Ohio State . They presented their research April 9, 2005 in Columbus at the annual meeting of the American Council on Consumer Interests. The researchers used data from the 2000 Health and Retirement Survey, conducted by the University of Michigan and funded mainly by the National Institute on Aging. The survey included 848 respondents aged 50 and over. The survey asked about the use of six types of alternative medicine: chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, breathing exercises, herbal medicine, and contemplative thought.

_

The most commonly used form of alternative medicine was chiropractic, which about 43 percent of respondents had used. Acupuncture was the least used. Some of the results will need more research to explain, Hong said. For example, the findings showed Blacks, widows, and more religious people all tended to use alternative medicine more often than did other older adults. Other results were more readily understandable.

_

Respondents were more likely to use alternative medicine if they said they were in poor health and if they reported more problems with daily activities, such as carrying groceries, eating or bathing. Of those who described their health as poor, 65 percent said they used some form of alternative medicine they considered preventive or curative – a higher percentage than among any other group. And about 63 percent of respondents who said they were not satisfied with their health care also tried alternative therapies classified as preventive or curative. “Older adults tend to have more chronic illnesses, and conventional medicine doesn’t always solve their problems,” Hong said.

_

The aches and pains that often come with age may also send more older adults to search for different kinds of treatments. “Treatment of chronic pain is very difficult,” she said. “People who are living with pain will try everything possible to alleviate it. Those taking a holistic approach toward life may try something else such as alternative medicine.” However, the exact reasons why these older adults used alternative medicine is not known from this research and needs further study, Hong said. The fact that those who were less satisfied with their health care were more likely to use alternative medicine does suggest some people have issues with the current state of conventional health care.

_

Hong said the medical establishment has begun studying alternative medicine and has begun to accept some forms of non-traditional medicine. But more study needs to be done before they are generally accepted. “Many people are using herbal medicines or massage therapy or other treatments based on what they read in popular magazines or see on television,” Hong said. “More scientific research is needed to examine the safety and effectiveness of alternative medicines, especially about possible interaction effects when they are used along with prescription drugs.”

_

Hong and her colleagues are working on a new study that will take a more comprehensive look at what alternative medicines people are using and how often they are using them. “Alternative medicine provides an important option in response to the need for health care in the United States ,” Hong said. “We need to know more about who is using alternative medicine and ensuring that they are educated about the medicines and therapies they are using.”

Cost

Cost is definitely one of the biggest differences between allopathic medical treatment and natural healing. Considering that medical treatment in America is America's biggest business, representing over 15% of the entire nation's Gross National Product, protecting this business is of huge national and private business interest. The tax revenue alone is in the hundreds of billions of dollars. Any breakdown in this business would have severe and devastating economic impact on America. For this reason, the largest amount of money spent on lawyers and lobbyists in Washington, D.C. is the medical associations, hospitals groups and pharmaceutical companies to make sure that all laws passed are in their favor, protecting their interests and restricting any competition, especially natural healing and herbal medicine.

The Insurance/Pharmaceutical Industries’ Influence on Medical Doctors

A doctor’s skills of observation, physical examination and deductive reasoning, which used to be considered his most essential diagnostic tools, have now been replaced by reliance on narrowly interpreted lab tests and lists of numerical diagnoses allowable by insurance plans. The health insurance industry has forced the entire practice of medicine to restrict itself to pre-approved numbered codes for both the diagnosis and the treatment of all health conditions. Drugs or surgery are usually the only therapies offered by modern medicine, even when they are inappropriate. So if an illness does not show up clearly on a lab test or fit a diagnostic code, and if there is no known surgical or drug treatment for the symptoms, then it is as though the problem is non-existent.

Medical doctors today are constricted by medical licensing boards, the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries, and their patients’ expectations of quick recovery. As a result of these influences and a certain bias in their training, they think and practice primarily pharmaceutical medicine, seeking to prescribe the appropriate drug for the condition. Because of the ever-present threat of a malpractice suit and the conservative influence of peer review boards, medical doctors have become much less willing and able to try something different to help their patients.

Malpractice is not decided just on the basis of the harm suffered by the patient, but on the consensus of the medical profession about what would be considered “proper” protocol in that particular situation. So, to protect themselves, most doctors have become much more orthodox in their practice of medicine. Their training no longer prepares them to explore beyond lab tests or routine signs and symptoms, nor do they often, if ever, consider truly alternative therapies. It has become unrewarding and down right dangerous to do any real thinking when it comes to diagnosis and treatment.

In addition to the fact that medical training is now dependent on huge pharmaceutical corporations for funding, modern medicine is currently in the stranglehold of insurance companies. Under our present medical system, most physicians’ incomes come primarily from insurance companies. Paperwork created by the insurance industry and licensing boards that is required of therapists, physicians, clinics and hospitals demands that each patient be given what is called an “ICD” (International Classification of Disease) code for their medical condition. This ICD code puts a name on your disease or condition. No one can fit in the cracks. You must have an ICD code to classify your illness.

Everyone is required to have an ICD. If there is no ICD, the financial medical wheel quickly comes to a halt for that patient and for the doctor treating them. Records are incomplete without these codes and bills cannot be submitted to insurance companies without them. Consequently, physicians must identify the patient’s diagnosis with an ICD code or the insurance companies will not pay them.

Patients also depend on the insurance companies to pay for whatever therapy they receive, but an insurance company will only pay for certain therapies that are approved as appropriate for each ICD code (diagnosis). If the doctor does not use an approved therapy for his diagnostic (ICD) code, there will be no payment. Without insurance coverage of the costs, most patients as well as most doctors are unwilling to proceed with any medical treatment. As a result many conditions rarely get treated, even if the physician knows it exists.
